Manto Today: Mantoloking Seasmoke

Early this morning, conditions were just right here to produce “seasmoke” – clouds of vapor that appear when the “warm” ocean water hits the cold sand, and when the cold air touches the warm water.  Sunrise makes this view even more dramatic.  At the time of the photos, the air temperature was about 9 degrees, and according to NOAA, the water temperature was about 38 degrees.  You can see a slideshow of the rest of the images below.
